Our Core Beliefs

Our church is evangelical, and we are committed to Christ’s Great Commission, both at home and abroad.

At Coagh Baptist Church we are fundamental, evangelical and premillennial. We are an ordinary group of people transformed by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, passionate about sharing the gospel to the Village of Coagh and beyond.

The Triune God

  1. God – Trinity, three persons, yet one God – co-eternal, co-equal, co-sovereign, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, active.
  2. The Lord Jesus Christ – His personality, deity, incarnation, and purity.
  3. The Holy Spirit – His personality, deity, power, and ministry in teaching, empowering, distributing gifts, promoting worship, enabling prayer, and sealing the saints.

Biblical Convictions

  1. The Scriptures – verbal, plenary, inerrant, infallible inspiration; divine preservation; only using the KJV (AV) in our ministries.
  2. Godly Living – Separation from worldly and sinful practices; created unto good works.
  3. Evangelism – All believers subject to the Great Commission to preach the gospel to and make disciples of every person

The Resurrection of Christ

  1. He was raised, not as a spirit only, but with an incorruptible, immortal, spiritual yet physical body on the third day; He ascended to the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate in His bodily presence in glory; as God, He also maintains His spirit nature.

Salvation & Doctrinal Summary

  1. Salvation – At the moment of conversion, the sinner becomes a saint, passed from death unto life, eternally secure, unable to lose salvation, and becomes elect in Christ, something he or she never was before; at the same time, the new believer is sealed by the Holy Spirit, indwelt by God, and made a new creation, and is thus expected and enabled to live a holy life before God.
